How it works

Thread it. Punch along the lines.

The design is already traced — your only job is to follow it.

Step oneThread the pen

The threader does the fiddly bit. Thirty seconds, honestly.

Step twoPunch along the lines

Poke, pull back, move over. Each poke leaves a chunky wool loop.

Step threeWatch the texture fill in

An evening or two later it’s a little rug for your wall.

Why it sticks

One more loop beats one more scroll

Punch needle is the most repetitive thing we sell. That’s the point.

1

Small gesture

Poke, pull back, move over. Your hands learn it in five minutes and then they just go.

2

Small win

Every poke leaves a loop you can touch. The texture spreads a little every evening.

3

One more

“One more row of loops” — and an hour’s gone somewhere you can feel.

We call it the reverse scroll — the same tiny repeat as the feed, except your canvas fills up instead of your evening draining out.

The poking is stupidly satisfying — like popping bubble wrap but you end up with a fox on your wall. Two evenings, done, and my phone stayed in my bag both nights.

I’m a chronic evening scroller and this is the first thing that’s out-competed my phone. My hands are too busy to pick it up and my head goes lovely and quiet.

The threader saves the day — threading was the only bit I feared and it took seconds. The traced lines mean you literally cannot go wrong. Finished mine in a weekend.

Bought two with the offer, one for my wife, one for my mum. Both finished, both framed, both asking for more designs. The wool is properly thick — looks like a little rug.

Really relaxing kit. One star off because I punched too shallow at first and my loops pulled out — read the guide’s depth tip before starting and you’ll be fine.

4-6 hours is accurate — I did mine over three short evenings instead of three scrolling sessions. The chunky texture gets compliments every time someone visits.

Frequently asked questions

If we’ve forgotten something, write to us — we reply in under 24h.

I’ve never done punch needle — is it for me?
Yes — that’s exactly the point. The canvas comes with the design already traced: you thread the pen and punch along the lines. No technique, no creativity required — the result comes out right on your first evening.
How does punch needle actually work?
You thread the wool through the punch pen (the threader does it in seconds), then poke the canvas following the traced design. Every poke leaves a chunky loop of wool on the front. Poke by poke, the texture fills in like a little rug.
How long does it take?
Between 4 and 6 hours depending on the design — one or two calm evenings, or a handful of 30–45 minute sessions. It’s the quickest finish of all our kits.
What’s in the kit?
The pre-printed 25×25 cm linen canvas, the wool yarn skeins sorted by colour, the punch pen with needles and threader, and an illustrated step-by-step guide. Nothing else to buy.
What if it ends up in a cupboard?
It might sit for a few days — that’s fine. The kit waits, without notifications, exactly where you left it. And if it’s really not for you, you have 14 days to return it unopened.
Does it make a good gift?
A lovely one — the chunky finished texture feels handmade in a way people don’t expect from a kit. It asks no skill of the person, just an evening or two.
